Golf etiquette, gently explained
The unspoken rules — written down, kindly, so you can stop worrying about them.

Etiquette in golf is mostly common courtesy with a green jacket on. There are only a handful of things that genuinely matter — once you know them, you stop worrying.
Be ready when it's your turn. Stand still and quiet when someone else is swinging. Replace divots on the fairway and rake bunkers after you play from them. Repair your ball mark on the green.
Keep pace. If the group behind catches up, wave them through — it's a kindness, not a defeat.
Phones on silent. Conversation welcome. Compliments to your playing partners are always correct.
That's most of it. Everything else, you'll pick up from people who want you to enjoy the day.
Greenside Society is a modern golf community based in Kenya, helping a new generation learn the game in a welcoming, premium environment.
