What to wear to your first golf lesson

What you wear to your first lesson matters less than the internet suggests. The dress code at most Kenyan partner courses is relaxed at the range and slightly more considered on the course itself.

For the range: a collared polo or any breathable t-shirt, comfortable trousers or shorts (not gym shorts), and trainers with grip. That is genuinely all you need.

For your first time on the course: collared shirt tucked in, tailored shorts or trousers, and a cap if the sun is up. Most clubs will lend you golf shoes if you ask politely.

Bring a small bottle of water and sunscreen. Leave the brand-new gear at home — coaches prefer you arrive comfortable, not costumed.
